About the role:
Operating within Safety & Wellbeing, the Staff Safety & Wellbeing Consultant plays a key role in building a psychologically safe, inclusive and respectful working environment at ACU. Reporting to the National Manager - Safety & Wellbeing, the position is responsible for implementing and monitoring frameworks, policies and initiatives that prevent and respond to workplace gender based violence (GBV), psychosocial hazards and psychological injury. The Staff Safety & Wellbeing Consultant will require strong counselling and case management skills to support staff disclosures of gender based violence or sexual harm, harassment, bullying or other forms of psychological harm. The position will ensure that the university meets its obligations under the Work Health and Safety Acts, OHS Act 2004 (Vic), Fair Work Act 2009 (Respect@Work reforms) and the National Code to Prevent & Respond to Gender Based Violence in Higher Education. The role also leads prevention and early intervention initiatives, supports cultural change programs and provides expert guidance to People & Capability stakeholders and university leadership to manage psychosocial risk and promote wellbeing.

- Total remuneration valued to $138,111 - $154,409 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $116,706 - $130,478 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
