Visiting Assistant Professor, Kinesiology/Head Basketball Coach (One Year Temporary) RCC
Basic Function
Riverside City College is seeking a Visiting (one-year temporary) assistant professor in Kinesiology/head men's basketball coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for lecture and/or laboratory instruction in the discipline of Kinesiology and serve as the Head Men's Basketball Coach.
Education
Master's degree in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education; OR Bachelor's in any of the above and a Master's in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy; OR the Equivalent required. Master's degree in kinesiology is preferred.
Experience
Two years of university or community college experience in coaching and teaching or four years of high school head coaching and teaching experience is desired.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize, recruit, and coach community college men's basketball within the framework of college policies and procedures.
- Establish good working relationships with athletes, college staff, and community and booster organizations.
- Fulfill instructional assignment, including lecture and laboratory classes in the kinesiology discipline and coaching basketball.
- Fulfill the duties of a full-time instructor.
